Guest Bio

Agnes Munyao is a pastor and the acting director of the Light Christian Community-Based Organization in Kenya.

In 2022, she stepped away from her role in Nairobi to follow what she believed was a calling from the Holy Spirit to serve underserved communities in Northern Kenya. What began as a single visit quickly grew into a full-time mission.

Today, Agnes leads initiatives focused on children and youth outreach, leadership development, and evangelism. Her work includes feeding programs, youth camps, and scholarship support—helping children return to school and families find hope in difficult conditions.

She is passionate about sharing the Gospel in its simplest and most accessible form, reaching communities where resources are limited but the hunger for truth, connection, and compassion is deeply felt.

In this episode, Ed Squire sits down with Pastor Agnes Munyao, a woman who made the difficult decision to leave the comfort of Nairobi to follow what she believed was a calling from God into one of the most underserved regions of Kenya.

What began as a single visit turned into a life mission.

Agnes now leads the Light Christian Community-Based Organization, serving children and families through feeding programs, youth outreach, leadership development, and evangelism.

One of the most powerful realities she shares is this:

Many of the children labeled as “street kids”… weren’t homeless at all.
They were simply hungry.

Through something as simple as providing one meal a day, children began returning home—and back to school.

This episode is a raw and honest look at faith in action, sacrifice, and what it really means to live out kindness in the real world.

Agnes is working to build a simple but powerful community space that will provide:

  • A safe place for children to gather

  • A kitchen to support feeding programs

  • A space for education, training, and outreach

  • A place where hope, faith, and opportunity can grow
